his day out at Gaydon...

I was dropped off with Martyn, Charlotte and Max on Saturday night and helped to celebrate Max's Birthday before a peaceful nights sleep in Grumble.
The next morning we all drove to the Land Rover factory at Solihull for the Marque Day Cavalcade...

Whilst waiting to get off I took the opportunity to have a look around at the 150 vehicles which would make up the Cavalcade to Gaydon, but look, there's HUE the first Series one to be built.  Hang on a minute, who's that behind the wheel? looks familiar...

It's my old chum Bob Dover, Chief Executive of the Land Rover / Jaguar Group.  Bob retired yesterday, so I'd better go and say hello.  As you can see, Bob asked me in but I politely declined his offer to travel with him on the cavalcade...

As tidy as the day it were built, HUE set off, leading the Cavalcade on the 33 mile journey to the Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon.  Had to rush back to Grumble in case they left without me...

found some bargains
went to see Piglet
and the 101 Club

found HUE again
found a new car...
...and another!

It's really nice
but a bit odd, too
and not very muddy!

so woke him up!

Later that day I went off with Neil Brownlee to continue my journey.
The Marque run clocked up 66 miles on the GPS and I'd add
at least another two miles of wandering around the showground!
