It's no secret that Max, our 'rescue'
Labrador, Lurcher, Alsatian, Collie cross
loves the Land Rover Discovery to ickle bits!
As a rescue dog, he suffered very badly from
what's known as 'seperation anxiety' and could
not be left on his own in our house without
working himself into a state of extreme distress.
It was purely by accident that we found he would,
however, stay quite happily on his own in the back
of our Discovery! He loves it, it's his 'safe space.
Max is very well known on the Land Rover Show circuit
not least for wanting to leap into the back of any open
Discovery he sees - as you'll imagine, this can be confusing
for him and somewhat embarrassing for us!
It was therefore with great joy that his devotion to the
Discovery was recognised at the show, when he was made an
Honorary Member of the Discovery Owner's Club.
His Membership Number? 101-0 :-)

Now... Some may think the D.O.C. have gone barking mad,
but if you paws for thought, you'll see they're really taking the lead in
promoting a truly family friendly club and not just collaring an easy
opportunity for a PR stunt... Not that anyone would be so bitchy
to mutter such a thing, we're sure... :-)
